Wand Browser Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 20, 2026

Wand Browser is an iPhone web browser with permission-controlled Bluetooth and NFC access. You do not need a Wand Browser account to use the app. Contact Hito about this policy at support-wand@hito.ai.

Browsing history and website storage

Wand stores your per-site fullscreen preferences locally on your device. Clear website data removes these preferences; Clear history keeps them.

Wand stores up to 100 recent page addresses, titles, and visit times in the app’s local storage to show recent pages on the home screen. Wand does not upload this history to a Hito history service. Use Clear beside Recent pages to delete the saved history.

Websites may store cookies, caches, and other website data on your device using WebKit. Use Site controls → Clear website data to remove that storage and sign out of websites. This action and Clear history are separate. App data may also be included in device backups according to your Apple settings; Wand does not operate a separate cloud history sync service.

Websites you visit

Opening a page sends network requests to that website and its embedded services. They can receive your IP address, requested address, cookies, form submissions, and other information you share with them. Websites can have their own analytics, tracking, accounts, and privacy policies. A website operated by Hito is also subject to that website’s privacy policy. This policy does not promise that websites cannot collect information.

Bluetooth and NFC

For HTTPS websites, Wand can discover nearby Bluetooth devices matching the website’s request and show a native device picker. You choose which device to share. Allowed websites can exchange data with that device through the supported Bluetooth interface.

After you approve a website’s NFC permission and use the system NFC interface, Wand can read NFC tag data or write data supplied by that website. Tag contents and Bluetooth responses are made available to the requesting website, which may send them to its own servers. Only grant access to websites and devices you trust.

Hardware permissions last for the current page visit and end when you navigate to a new document, reload, background the app, or revoke access in Site controls. Wand does not maintain background hardware access or upload device and tag contents to a separate Hito telemetry service. You can also manage the app’s system Bluetooth permission in iPhone Settings.

App analytics and beta feedback

Wand includes no advertising SDK, app analytics SDK, or app-operated tracking service. Apple’s TestFlight service can provide the developer with beta testing information, including sessions, crashes, device and operating-system information, and feedback or screenshots you submit. Apple handles this information under its TestFlight terms and privacy notices. Do not include passwords, recovery phrases, private keys, or sensitive tag contents in feedback.
