Web NFC on iPhone

Tap “Scan NFC” and hold a compatible NDEF tag near the top of your iPhone. The console shows record types and payloads. Stop the scan before switching tasks. To write, use your own writable test tag: enter text and tap “Write NFC text”, or test a binary record. Writing replaces tag content. This fixture does not read payment cards or emulate NFC cards.

Requires iOS 18 or later and a physical iPhone for hardware access. The app interface is currently English. Websites need HTTPS, a top-level page, and a foreground session. Each site needs your permission; grants end on navigation, reload, backgrounding, or revocation.

If an action fails, read the console error, check iOS Bluetooth or NFC permissions and the site controls, then retry in the foreground. After navigation or backgrounding, request permission again. The simulator cannot verify radio or tag operations. Test with real hardware; cancel pickers and check that denied access stays denied.
